I won't go into building specifics here. You can visit the above links for most of my ideas/inspirations. Here's what the pictures don't tell:
Full Size NeoGeo Type Homebuilt Cabinet (5/8 " MDF)
Control Panel uses laminate, no plexiglass
27" Sharp S-Video TV unchanged and completely removable/reusable
ATI Expert@Play 98 Video card with S-Video Out
Homebuilt AMD Duron 750 running Win98SE
External AMP with Volume Control removed and mouted inside CP.
KE72-T keyboard encoder using 2 IOX36 interfaces
2 Hacked PSX Controllers for connecting to Playstation
Oscar Spinner - Hotrod Version to avoid mounting plate
This is pretty much all I can think of right now. I started in Jan. of this year thinking about this project. Once it got warm enough to work in my garage, the race was on to get the project done before my second daughter was born (8/5/01). Thanks to my friend Mike for his help and advice. His project is next! To those of you considering doing something like this yourself - IT CAN BE DONE! Good luck and game on.
